Film Project: Old Photos Needed Please!

Ahoy folks!

I am trying to help my chum, Portsmouth filmmaker Kevin Bradshaw, with a promotional music video project. The filming is set to take place in Portsmouth and we're looking for local residents who'd be kind enough to supply post-WW2 photographs (1940s/1950s) of buildings and streetviews (particularly views of Southsea and Old Portsmouth), that are NOT subject to copyright. Ideally, we'd like these photographs (or digitally scanned images) ready for the filming which begins on the 22nd June, although the project will be ongoing. Of course, any photographic material will be returned.

If you can help, please email info@plasticmammoth.com - it would be much appreciated! Thanks.

I'm not extinct!

I've been doing lots of fun bits for Southsea Fest - one of the best independent music festivals in the South, basking in some 3D love from Japan (thanks Mr. Kemp!), learning how to carve the Death Star from a pumpkin in time for Halloween and anticipating Steve Brookstein's return to the X Factor as some sort of Phantom of the Opera gatecrasher (well, it would make things more entertaining).

Will post some pics soon, but right now my dinner is ready...

...and I'm having NUGGETS.

"6by4" Secret Postcard Exhibition!

As a postcard collector and enthusiast, I was thrilled to bits when asked to design a poster for 6by4, a "secret" postcard exhibition and sale to be hosted by Art Space Portsmouth to celebrate their 30th Anniversary!

The event will run from the 12th-14th of November (Friday 6pm - 9pm / Sat & Sun 12pm-5pm) and will feature original, postcard-sized artworks, created and donated by up-and-coming artists and designers from all over the world, plus a fine selection of postcards by much loved musicians, television personalities and talented local artists.

You could own a hidden gem for just £20 (bargain!) and all proceeds will help to support Art Space initiatives in the future.

If you'd like to get involved, or for more info, please visit the Art Space Portsmouth website or join the 6by4 Facebook event here!

And now for something completely different! An animation for the Hold Fast song "Jaws", featuring a few Southsea regulars and some 80s film references...
